The traveling garden gnome made another appearance (nobody knows how), Marla and Elaine have decided their friendship deserves more than chance encounters, and there was even a correctly filed form at Town Hall, which, as you know, is cause for quiet celebration. As the sun broke through one final time and harmonica music drifted from the dock—though everyone denies hearing it—Seahaven Springs settled into its Saturday evening glow, full of small wonders and the pleasant kind of mysteries that never quite need solving.
