Day 1435

Day 1435 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. The town clock has stopped at twenty past four. Nobody can agree on when it happened, which is itself a problem of some irony. The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly. The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Everybody, Slightly Left runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
