Out at Founders Park, the great tomato rivalry between Truman and his neighbour reached new heights, a heron claimed Miller's Pond as its personal kingdom, and a hedge dispute required the kind of careful diplomacy that small towns do best. By evening, The Anchor was filling with the usual Friday crowd, and somewhere in all of it, life in Seahaven Springs hummed along exactly as it should—mysteries small and warm, stories worth telling, and the comforting sense that everyone knows everyone else's business, and wouldn't have it any other way.
