Day 1529

What a day in Seahaven Springs! Milo Ferris bounced out of the hospital with a clean bill of health, the weather performed its usual ballet of clouds and sunshine, and somewhere in town a lighthouse postcard arrived just for Truman — who was far too busy noticing a mysteriously repainted front door and the eternal travels of our wandering garden gnome. The real story, though, was at The Anchor, where the evening took on a warm, contented glow: Elaine and Marla shared supper with the kind of quiet understanding that made onlookers smile, Rex added a new chair without fanfare, and the bar filled with the kind of gentle tipsy poetry that only happens when a small town decides, all at once, that everything is exactly as it should be.
