The town gathered for an ambitious photograph under perfectly timed sunshine, while Truman ventured down to the exposed tideline—drawn by some quiet curiosity that the universe seemed keen to interrupt. By evening, the whole place had settled into that warm Thursday contentment, with someone's enthusiastic but somewhat haphazard piano playing floating out from The Anchor, and half the town lingering outdoors as if they'd collectively decided the day shouldn't quite end yet. Somewhere between the mackerel and the rainbows and the synchronous umbrellas, this little seaside town reminded everyone why they'd stayed.
