The dominoes fell faster than the tiles themselves when Marla and Bev came to blows over a disputed game at The Anchor — though in Seahaven Springs, 'blows' means raised voices and a gentle shoulder-bump that left everyone more entertained than hurt. Sheriff Hal, ever the peacekeeper, offered Marla a night in the holding cells to cool off, which she accepted with the grace of someone who'd already forgotten which road she meant to take anyway. Meanwhile, Rex and Sal shared a quiet dinner that ended with promises kept, the light over town turned frankly cinematic, and somewhere on the dock, someone played a harmonica that nobody quite heard but everybody somehow knew about. Even the fish stories grew taller with each telling, as they do.
