What a day it was in Seahaven Springs—the rain came and went like a visiting relative, leaving behind a rainbow so perfectly framed the sun itself seemed to be showing off. Through it all, Truman found himself mysteriously calmed by an old friend's company, while the town's little dramas continued their gentle tumble: Toby Tanner reached some kind of peace with his circumstances, Elaine finally got her unhurried dinner with Marla (complete with lighthouse stories), and the fishermen pretended they weren't enjoying the clouds one bit. By evening, the café was packed, Dot was already spinning a yarn she wouldn't finish, and somewhere in town, someone's piano practice echoed through the rain—eight bars, over and over, like a lullaby the whole town has learned to hum along with.
