Day 1845
Day 1845 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Milo Ferris's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches. Linus Tidewater fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed. One small Seahaven question is settled, and Orson Ferris is already eyeing another. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

08:00Linus Tidewater fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
08:37One small Seahaven question is settled, and Orson Ferris is already eyeing another.
09:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
09:22Marla Finch has an answer, of a sort, and has decided it will do.
10:00Truman Beaumont's radio caught the control room again. Orson Ferris turned the dial and talked loudly about the weather.
10:05Iris Brody has hosted the thing they kept meaning to host.
11:25Hal Brody has kept at keeping a notebook about the pond long enough that the town expects it now.
11:36A photograph is taken at last. Four people look the wrong way and it is perfect.
11:36Truman Beaumont and Bev Tanner kept their word and finished what they started.
11:36And so concludes: Everybody, Slightly Left. The town will live with how it ended.
13:16Whatever Fern Gorse and Elaine Whitlow were circling, they have landed on it.
14:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
14:58Cole Whitlow and Opal Ferris have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
14:58sketching the shoreline has stopped being something Opal Ferris is trying, and become something they do.
15:00Opal Ferris has arrived at the store without the list. This has happened before.
16:00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
16:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
17:00A seagull has stolen Iris Brody's sandwich near the dock. Again.
17:25Elaine Whitlow and Fern Gorse kept their word and finished what they started.
19:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
21:00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
21:53Hattie Whitlow is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
22:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
22:00The bakery sign flickered and, for a moment, read a different name entirely.
22:18Opal Ferris has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
22:19Cole Whitlow is negotiating with a bar stool and appears to be losing.
23:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
23:21Rex Callahan is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
