The traveling garden gnome continues its mysterious pilgrimage from porch to porch, while the town's newest resident, baby Ned Ferris, sleeps peacefully in his home. As evening fell and the light turned almost impossibly golden, Truman and the rest of Seahaven Springs drifted toward The Salty Gull for Sunday supper, drawn together as they always are—by habit, by warmth, and by the quiet certainty that nothing bad ever happens here, even if something is always, always going on.
