As evening fell and rain cleared to reveal a rainbow that seemed almost too perfect, Gus Tidewater found himself at The Anchor's piano, playing it badly and beautifully, while harmonica notes drifted from the dock in what he steadfastly refuses to acknowledge. Friday night bloomed into its gentle chaos: the town gathered, umbrellas were deployed with surprising unity, and for a moment the lights flickered as if even Seahaven Springs itself was catching its breath. Tomorrow will bring new mysteries—but tonight, the town rested easy, full of bread-scent and possibility.
