Day 333 brought Kip bouncing back from Seahaven General with a spring in his step, just in time to chase the tide's secrets across the wet sand. A small wager ended as these things do in our town—with handshakes, kept promises, and nobody quite admitting who won—while Rex discovered unexpected depths in lighthouse engineering and acquired a mysterious extra chair he's being coy about. The weather played its part with theatrical flair: rain, then sun, then a rainbow so perfectly angled it looked like someone had ordered it special. As evening fell warm and golden, half the town drifted outside to sit together in that unreasonably good light, the kind that makes you believe, once again, that there is nowhere else you'd rather be.
