Day 369
What a day in Seahaven Springs! Norma emerged from Seahaven General in perfect health, winning herself a coffee from Hal with nothing but a cheerful bet about the weather—and wouldn't you know it, she was right. The town's borrowed ladder made yet another mysterious journey to parts unknown, the bakery queue stretched out the door in that contented way that meant Kip was doing something right, and little Abel Callahan arrived to much fanfare, with Rex and Sal beaming like men who'd discovered treasure. By evening, the rain had cleared to a rainbow worthy of a postcard, June was tucked in at the hospital for observation (nothing serious, just the sniffles), and The Anchor was alive with the peculiar joy of a Friday night where Rex was attempting the piano, Bev was conducting invisible orchestras, and Truman—dear earnest Truman—was thanking the furniture for being such good company. In Seahaven Springs, the small moments are always the ones that matter most.
