Day 3709
Day 3709 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Ned Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. The tide is out further than usual. Jonah Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind. Milo Ferris is not currently speaking to Ike Tidewater. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Battle of the Noticeboard runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
09:00The tide is out further than usual. Jonah Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
09:12Bram Tidewater and Hattie Whitlow have got into the habit of each other.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
10:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Milo Ferris has been elected to deal with it.
10:12Two notices have appeared on the same board, on the same subject, disagreeing.
11:00Truman Beaumont's radio caught the control room again. Bea Callahan turned the dial and talked loudly about the weather.
12:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
13:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
14:00Ned Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
15:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
16:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
17:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
17:00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
18:07Dell Tanner is not brilliant at sketching the shoreline, and is no longer pretending to be. It stuck anyway.
19:19Rex Callahan and Ewan Callahan kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
21:43Gil Ferris is negotiating with a bar stool and appears to be losing.
22:01Wren Gorse offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
22:05Edie Gorse has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:06Hattie Whitlow is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
22:10Iris Brody has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
22:17Mabel Tidewater has become extremely confident about lighthouse engineering.
23:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
