Day 3729
Day 3729 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Iris Brody has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Kip Doyle is not currently speaking to Hattie Whitlow. Hattie Whitlow is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Visitor Is Expected takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Iris Brody has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
06:00The tide is out further than usual. Iris Brody has gone to look at what it left behind.
06:58Kip Doyle has stopped wondering about it, which is not quite the same as knowing.
07:00The Bakery's fresh bread smell has reached the town square. Productivity plummets.
07:25Wren Gorse and Edie Gorse no longer need a reason to call round.
08:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
09:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
09:13Marla Finch's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
10:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
12:00Wilf Tanner answered a question Truman Beaumont had not asked out loud.
12:00Control has sent an old friend to sit with Truman Beaumont for a while. Nothing calms him faster.
12:27Truman Beaumont tidies the front step twice. Dot Ferris bakes, defensively.
13:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Dot Ferris has been elected to deal with it.
13:01Alma Callahan's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
13:57Edie Gorse and Ewan Callahan have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
14:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
15:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
15:17Wilf Tanner and Perry Gorse have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
16:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
16:00Dell Tanner fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
17:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
18:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
19:16Elaine Whitlow and Marla Finch have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
19:34Mabel Tidewater is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
19:49Linus Tidewater offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
20:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
20:16Dot Ferris and Mabel Tidewater kept their word and finished what they started.
20:21Bram Tidewater has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
20:22Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Gil Ferris onto the water. Gil Ferris has not noticed.
20:39Kip Doyle has decided the dartboard is at fault and said so publicly.
21:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
22:00Commotion at The Anchor! Hattie Whitlow and Kip Doyle came to (very gentle) blows over an argument about the correct way to pronounce "buoy".
22:00Sheriff Brody has invited Hattie Whitlow to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
22:02Ewan Callahan is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
