OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00It is too hot in Seahaven Springs. The tarmac on Front Street has gone soft and the Sunrise Café has put its chairs in the shade.
05:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
09:00Ned Ferris has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar.
09:26Edie Gorse has finally had everyone round. Nobody left early.
09:29Ike Tidewater and Sal Marino have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
10:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.

13:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
13:51Whatever Ewan Callahan and Edie Gorse were circling, they have landed on it.
14:18Hal Brody asks around. Every answer contradicts the last one.
14:57Iris Brody's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
15:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
16:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
16:20Alma Callahan and Linus Tidewater kept their word and finished what they started.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
18:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.

20:07Wilf Tanner has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
20:11Perry Gorse has explained the tides three times, differently each time.
20:23Gil Ferris has got good enough at keeping a notebook about the pond to be quietly smug about it.
