Day 3786
Day 3786 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Opal Ferris has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Edie Gorse is not currently speaking to Abel Callahan. Abel Callahan is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Quiet Week for the Sheriff runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Opal Ferris has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
07:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
09:08Whatever Elaine Whitlow and Marla Finch were circling, they have landed on it.
09:49Marla Finch has finally had everyone round. Nobody left early.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
10:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
11:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
11:24Nothing has happened in Seahaven Springs for three days. The Sheriff is restless.
12:00Elaine Whitlow has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar.
12:00Something glinted in the hedge at eye height, tracking Truman Beaumont as he passed.
12:58Perry Gorse's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
13:26practising stories worth telling has stopped being something Mabel Tidewater is trying, and become something they do.
14:00The tide is out further than usual. Bev Tanner has gone to look at what it left behind.
16:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
20:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
20:46Wilf Tanner and Linus Tidewater kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
21:35Hal Brody has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
21:39Bram Tidewater has hosted the thing they kept meaning to host.
22:01Ned Ferris has decided the dartboard is at fault and said so publicly.
22:05Edie Gorse has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:06Iris Brody is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:37Abel Callahan is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Abel Callahan and Edie Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over a heated debate over the last pickled egg.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Abel Callahan to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
