Day 3796
Day 3796 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain. The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions. The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Perry Gorse has been elected to deal with it. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Loaf That Cannot Be Repeated reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
