Day 3864
Day 3864 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Ned Ferris has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. Ike Tidewater has got good enough at practising stories worth telling to be quietly smug about it. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
