Day 3867
Day 3867 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Hal Brody has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried. Opal Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Surprise for Truman Beaumont reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
