OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00The orchard has produced more than anybody knows what to do with. There are apples on doorsteps, unasked for and unavoidable.
04:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
08:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
09:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
09:34Hal Brody has got good enough at sketching the shoreline to be quietly smug about it.
10:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
10:59Rex Callahan is not brilliant at practising stories worth telling, and is no longer pretending to be. It stuck anyway.
11:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
12:00Hattie Whitlow has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar.
12:27The route is tested by several residents at once, which slows everybody down.
14:00Fern Gorse has come down with a case of the Seahaven sniffles and is being kept in for observation.
16:00A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried.
17:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
19:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
19:56Fern Gorse and Ike Tidewater kept their word and finished what they started.
20:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
20:35Gil Ferris and Linus Tidewater no longer need a reason to call round.
21:51Flo Ferris has explained the tides three times, differently each time.
21:59Milo Ferris is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
22:00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
22:03Linus Tidewater has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:07Wilf Tanner has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
22:11Iris Brody is negotiating with a bar stool and appears to be losing.
22:17Perry Gorse has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
22:56Ewan Callahan has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Flo Ferris and Wilf Tanner came to (very gentle) blows over an argument about the correct way to pronounce "buoy".
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Wilf Tanner to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
