Day 4017
Day 4017 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Jonah Ferris has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Lark Ferris is not currently speaking to Linus Tidewater. Jonah Ferris is not currently speaking to Dell Tanner. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Key, and No Lock takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Jonah Ferris has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
00:00A sea fog has come in over Seahaven Springs and shows no sign of leaving. The lighthouse can be heard but not seen.
00:31Wren Gorse offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
07:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
09:57Wilf Tanner has got good enough at practising stories worth telling to be quietly smug about it.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
10:00The tide is out further than usual. Sal Marino has gone to look at what it left behind.
11:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
12:00Somebody has repainted their front door overnight. Opinions are being gathered.
12:42Rex Callahan tries it in every door on the square, politely, one at a time.
13:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
15:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
17:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
18:20Sal Marino's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
18:31Ike Tidewater and Perry Gorse kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
22:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
22:01Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Hattie Whitlow onto the water. Hattie Whitlow has not noticed.
22:03The Anchor's piano is being played by Ned Ferris, who cannot play piano.
22:11Linus Tidewater has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago.
22:16The Anchor's piano is being played by Cole Whitlow, who cannot play piano.
22:21Lark Ferris has decided the dartboard is at fault and said so publicly.
22:22Perry Gorse is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:28Rex Callahan offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Lark Ferris and Linus Tidewater came to (very gentle) blows over a heated debate over the last pickled egg.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Linus Tidewater to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
23:00A door that has been locked for as long as Truman Beaumont can remember was standing open this morning.
