Day 4021
Day 4021 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Mabel Tidewater has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Rex Callahan is not currently speaking to Bea Callahan. Rex Callahan is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. What Our Song Actually Is runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

04:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
08:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.

10:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
10:04Hattie Whitlow and Bram Tidewater have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
11:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.

12:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
12:52Somebody hums something at The Anchor and half the room joins in with other words.
13:00Rex Callahan is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.

18:56Sal Marino and Alma Callahan kept their word and finished what they started.
20:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
21:56Cass Tanner is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
22:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
