Day 4035
Day 4035 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. Opal Ferris is not currently speaking to Ike Tidewater. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Surprise for Truman Beaumont takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

11:38Everyone in town is now keeping the same secret, badly.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
14:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
16:00Truman Beaumont's radio caught the control room again. Dell Tanner turned the dial and talked loudly about the weather.
17:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
18:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
18:00Milo Ferris fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
19:00The bakery sign flickered and, for a moment, read a different name entirely.
20:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
20:01Bev Tanner and Bea Callahan kept their word and finished what they started.
20:39Rex Callahan has put right the thing at The Anchor Bar that had been annoying them for weeks.
21:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
21:41Bea Callahan is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
22:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
22:03Milo Ferris has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.

22:09Alma Callahan is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:17Edie Gorse is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
