Day 4126
Day 4126 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Word has gone round the kitchens: Truman Beaumont is to be given his favourite, and no bill. Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning. It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Bench at The Orchard Gate takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
