Day 4147
Day 4147 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Abel Callahan has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Dell Tanner has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Wilf Tanner is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

00:00Abel Callahan has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
00:00Dell Tanner has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
02:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
05:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
08:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
08:00For four seconds Truman Beaumont's radio carried a voice describing exactly where Truman Beaumont was standing.
08:00Control has sent an old friend to sit with Truman Beaumont for a while. Nothing calms him faster.
09:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Flo Ferris has been elected to deal with it.
09:00Elaine Whitlow fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
10:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
10:02Elaine Whitlow's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
10:23Wilf Tanner has hosted the thing they kept meaning to host.
10:45No inspector arrives. The town has never looked better and is quietly pleased.
10:45Truman Beaumont and Dell Tanner kept their word and finished what they started.
10:45And so concludes: Word of an Inspection. The town will live with how it ended.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:00Wilf Tanner is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
14:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
14:00Wilf Tanner noticed the greetings had gone identical and improvised badly but successfully.
14:23Dell Tanner and Perry Gorse have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
14:23Perry Gorse and Dell Tanner have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
15:00Perry Gorse nearly answered Truman Beaumont early, and turned it into a cough.
16:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
17:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
18:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
18:00The bakery sign flickered and, for a moment, read a different name entirely.
21:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
22:00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
22:02Milo Ferris has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
22:03Fern Gorse has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
22:12Abel Callahan has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
22:24Alma Callahan has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
