Day 4157
Day 4157 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Iris Brody has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Rex Callahan is not currently speaking to Lark Ferris. Bea Callahan is not currently speaking to Flo Ferris. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Book Nobody Finished runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
11:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
11:00Rain fell in a single column, precisely on Truman Beaumont, and nowhere else in Seahaven Springs.
11:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
12:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
13:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
13:00Kip Doyle has come down with a cough with genuine ambition and is being kept in for observation.
13:02A book club is founded. Truman Beaumont is elected chair, having left the room.
14:00The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it.
15:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
16:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
18:31Truman Beaumont and Dell Tanner kept their word and finished what they started.
19:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
21:24Hal Brody has decided the dartboard is at fault and said so publicly.
21:31Jonah Ferris and Dot Ferris have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
22:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:07Bram Tidewater is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
22:09Fern Gorse and Opal Ferris no longer need a reason to call round.
22:40Linus Tidewater has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
23:07Iris Brody has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
