Day 4208
Day 4208 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Wilf Tanner is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory. Iris Brody and Marla Finch have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
