Day 4214
Day 4214 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Rex Callahan has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Flo Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Rex Callahan is not currently speaking to Edie Gorse. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Great Chess Rivalry reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Rex Callahan has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
07:00The tide is out further than usual. Rex Callahan has gone to look at what it left behind.
08:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
09:24One small Seahaven question is settled, and Fern Gorse is already eyeing another.
09:26Dot Ferris and Kip Doyle have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
09:27Cole Whitlow and Mabel Tidewater no longer need a reason to call round.
10:00Flo Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
11:00The morning mail has arrived. Mabel Tidewater received a mysterious postcard.
11:38There were not enough plates at Bram Tidewater's, and nobody minded.
12:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
12:13Training montages occur. Trash talk remains extremely polite.
13:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
14:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
15:00Business is slow enough that Sal Marino has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
16:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
17:00Sunday supper is drawing the town toward The Salty Gull.
17:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
18:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
19:00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
19:56Opal Ferris and Dot Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
20:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
