Day 4233
Day 4233 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Commotion at The Anchor! Linus Tidewater and Bea Callahan came to (very gentle) blows over an argument about the correct way to pronounce "buoy". Bea Callahan is not currently speaking to Linus Tidewater. Linus Tidewater is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Whose Ladder Is This begins. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Word has gone round the kitchens: Truman Beaumont is to be given his favourite, and no bill.
02:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
07:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
08:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
09:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
09:18There were not enough plates at Bea Callahan's, and nobody minded.
11:22Sal Marino is not brilliant at learning the orchard properly, and is no longer pretending to be. It stuck anyway.
14:00A kite is stuck in the big park tree. A committee is forming.
15:00The tide is out further than usual. Iris Brody has gone to look at what it left behind.
16:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
17:00Lark Ferris has arrived at the store without the list. This has happened before.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
19:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
19:19Ned Ferris and Gil Ferris postponed the matter, but neither has forgotten it.
19:26Whatever Linus Tidewater and Bea Callahan were circling, they have landed on it.
19:43Opal Ferris has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
19:57Bea Callahan has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
20:00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.

20:22Milo Ferris offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
20:57Rex Callahan has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
20:57Cole Whitlow has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
21:05Linus Tidewater has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
22:06Hattie Whitlow is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
22:22Lark Ferris has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:47Mabel Tidewater offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
