Day 4269
Day 4269 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Wilf Tanner is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. The mackerel are running off Seahaven Point. The dock has acquired a row of buckets and an atmosphere of quiet competition. Alma Callahan is not currently speaking to Cass Tanner. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Apple Harvest takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
