Day 4283
Day 4283 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain. An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days. Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
