Day 4321
Day 4321 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Wren Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Rex Callahan is not currently speaking to Ike Tidewater. Jonah Ferris is not currently speaking to Ned Ferris. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Wren Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
00:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
07:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
07:23Whatever Fern Gorse and Opal Ferris were circling, they have landed on it.
07:27Bea Callahan and Linus Tidewater no longer need a reason to call round.
08:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
09:00Dell Tanner called Truman Beaumont by the wrong name mid-sentence, then laughed a little too quickly.
09:30Cole Whitlow has got good enough at learning the orchard properly to be quietly smug about it.
11:16The coffee is bought regardless, and drunk in comfortable silence.
11:16Truman Beaumont and Milo Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
11:16And so concludes: A Wager on the Weather. The town will live with how it ended.
12:57Milo Ferris and Bev Tanner have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
13:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
15:00Business is slow enough that Milo Ferris has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
16:00A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried.
17:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
18:00Opal Ferris has arrived at the store without the list. This has happened before.
19:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
20:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
20:44Truman Beaumont and Bev Tanner kept their word and finished what they started.
22:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:01The Anchor's piano is being played by Edie Gorse, who cannot play piano.
22:06Jonah Ferris is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:12Ned Ferris has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
22:16Cole Whitlow has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
22:17The Anchor's piano is being played by Flo Ferris, who cannot play piano.
22:24Opal Ferris is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Ned Ferris and Jonah Ferris came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes.
