Day 4380
Day 4380 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Seahaven Springs has been broadcasting for 12 years. Nobody in it has been told, and the town is asleep. Fireworks over Founders Park. Seahaven Springs is seeing in its 12 years, and does not know why the producers insisted. Edie Gorse is not currently speaking to Bea Callahan. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Great Seahaven Bake-Off Approaches runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Seahaven Springs has been broadcasting for 12 years. Nobody in it has been told, and the town is asleep.
08:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
09:26Perry Gorse's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
09:27Whatever Cole Whitlow and Opal Ferris were circling, they have landed on it.
10:00The Bakery's fresh bread smell has reached the town square. Productivity plummets.
10:22Elaine Whitlow and Marla Finch have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
12:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
13:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
13:35Town hall announces the Great Seahaven Bake-Off. Committees form instantly.
13:46Rex Callahan and Lark Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
15:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
16:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
17:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
19:59Wren Gorse has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
20:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
20:03The Anchor's piano is being played by Rex Callahan, who cannot play piano.
20:30Rex Callahan and Lark Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
20:36Elaine Whitlow has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
20:38Truman Beaumont is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
20:38Linus Tidewater has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
20:41Wilf Tanner has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
21:00Fireworks over Founders Park. Seahaven Springs is seeing in its 12 years, and does not know why the producers insisted.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Edie Gorse and Bea Callahan came to (very gentle) blows over a disagreement over who really caught the biggest fish.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Bea Callahan to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
23:11Fern Gorse is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
23:37Iris Brody has explained the tides three times, differently each time.
23:57Jonah Ferris has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
