Day 4436
Day 4436 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Iris Brody has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Dot Ferris is not currently speaking to Alma Callahan. Alma Callahan is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Leak at The Bakery takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Iris Brody has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
01:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
06:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
08:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
09:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
09:00For four seconds Truman Beaumont's radio carried a voice describing exactly where Truman Beaumont was standing.
09:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
09:41Perry Gorse has got to the bottom of it. The bottom was not far down.
11:00Sal Marino has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar.
13:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
13:04Truman Beaumont declares the bucket temporary. Hal Brody disagrees, fondly.
15:00A kite is stuck in the big park tree. A committee is forming.
16:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
17:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
18:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
19:36Dot Ferris has explained the tides three times, differently each time.
19:51Hal Brody is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
19:59Elaine Whitlow has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
21:00Edie Gorse and Mabel Tidewater kept their word and finished what they started.
21:18The Anchor's piano is being played by Rex Callahan, who cannot play piano.
22:00Commotion at The Anchor! Alma Callahan and Dot Ferris came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes.
22:00Sheriff Brody has invited Alma Callahan to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
22:29Jonah Ferris is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
