Day 4464
Day 4464 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Kip Doyle has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Bev Tanner is not currently speaking to Cass Tanner. Cass Tanner is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Kip Doyle has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
00:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
01:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
07:38Cass Tanner has an answer, of a sort, and has decided it will do.
09:10Whatever Iris Brody and Marla Finch were circling, they have landed on it.
10:00Mabel Tidewater is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
12:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
12:50Both fish pies stay on the menu. Everyone claims this was their idea.
12:50Truman Beaumont and Perry Gorse kept their word and finished what they started.
12:50And so concludes: The Fish Pie Question. The town will live with how it ended.
13:00A kite is stuck in the big park tree. A committee is forming.
13:39Perry Gorse and Wilf Tanner have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
14:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
14:22Wilf Tanner and Dell Tanner no longer need a reason to call round.
14:50Abel Callahan and Flo Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
15:00The tide is out further than usual. Dot Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
17:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
17:00For four seconds Truman Beaumont's radio carried a voice describing exactly where Truman Beaumont was standing.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
18:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
19:27Alma Callahan is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
19:37Edie Gorse is negotiating with a bar stool and appears to be losing.
19:58Bev Tanner has become extremely confident about lighthouse engineering.
20:04Rex Callahan has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
20:08Iris Brody has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
20:30Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Cole Whitlow onto the water. Cole Whitlow has not noticed.
21:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
21:00Commotion at The Anchor! Cass Tanner and Bev Tanner came to (very gentle) blows over a disagreement over who really caught the biggest fish.
21:00Sheriff Brody has invited Cass Tanner to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
