Day 4500
Day 4500 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Cass Tanner has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Hal Brody is not currently speaking to Rex Callahan. Rex Callahan is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Founders Day Festival Approaches runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

00:00Cass Tanner has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
02:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
08:00The tide is out further than usual. Ned Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
09:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
09:23Whatever Wilf Tanner and Perry Gorse were circling, they have landed on it.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
10:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
10:15One small Seahaven question is settled, and Rex Callahan is already eyeing another.
10:37Town hall announces the Founders Day Festival. Committees form instantly.
11:00Gil Ferris has arrived at the store without the list. This has happened before.
12:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
13:00Nothing whatsoever is happening in Seahaven Springs. Abel Callahan appears to be enjoying it.
13:00Dell Tanner came off worse in an argument with a garden gnome and a flowerbed and is spending a few days in Seahaven General.
15:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
16:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Flo Ferris has been elected to deal with it.
18:02Abel Callahan and Sal Marino have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
18:23Lark Ferris and Cass Tanner have cleared the air over a quiet chat.

18:48Cass Tanner and Wilf Tanner postponed the matter, but neither has forgotten it.
19:00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
20:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
21:39Hal Brody has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:00Commotion at The Anchor! Rex Callahan and Hal Brody came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes.
22:00Sheriff Brody has invited Rex Callahan to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
22:03The Anchor's piano is being played by Linus Tidewater, who cannot play piano.
22:04Gil Ferris has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
22:24Jonah Ferris is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
23:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
