Day 4553
Day 4553 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Abel Callahan has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Ike Tidewater is not currently speaking to Alma Callahan. Ike Tidewater is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Abel Callahan has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
07:00The tide is out further than usual. Dot Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
07:27Wren Gorse has finally had everyone round. Nobody left early.
07:27Gil Ferris has done the job at Community Orchard & Gardens properly rather than quickly.
07:44Bram Tidewater and Hattie Whitlow have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
08:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.

09:00Every car, gull and passer-by around Truman Beaumont paused at once, as though waiting for a cue.
11:00Dell Tanner answered a question Truman Beaumont had not asked out loud.
11:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:00A seagull has stolen Lark Ferris's sandwich near the dock. Again.
13:49The face is agreed to be somebody passing through. The photograph is framed anyway.
13:49Truman Beaumont and Flo Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
13:49And so concludes: The Photograph Nobody Can Explain. The town will live with how it ended.
14:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
15:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
19:00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
19:08Dell Tanner and Elaine Whitlow kept their word and finished what they started.
22:03The Anchor's piano is being played by Alma Callahan, who cannot play piano.
22:14Bea Callahan has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:33Abel Callahan has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Alma Callahan and Ike Tidewater came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Ike Tidewater to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
