Day 4657
Day 4657 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Bev Tanner has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago. Somebody hums something at The Anchor and half the room joins in with other words. Hal Brody has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. What Our Song Actually Is runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
