Day 4711
Day 4711 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Elaine Whitlow has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar. Perry Gorse's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about. A seagull has stolen Wren Gorse's sandwich near the dock. Again. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Whose Ladder Is This takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
