Day 4762
Day 4762 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Edie Gorse's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches. The morning mail has arrived. Dot Ferris received a mysterious postcard. A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Shortcut reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
