Day 4788
Day 4788 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town. Dot Ferris and Kip Doyle have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things. The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Hal Brody has been elected to deal with it. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
