Day 4807
Day 4807 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Opal Ferris has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Marla Finch is being kept in overnight with a touch of whatever half the town already had. Bram Tidewater is a delighted new parent. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Book Nobody Finished reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Opal Ferris has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
07:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
08:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
09:21Marla Finch's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
10:41The meeting happens anyway and becomes an excellent evening about other things.
12:00The town ladder is on its fourth borrower this week and nobody is sure who owns it.
13:00Marla Finch has come down with a touch of whatever half the town already had and is being kept in for observation.
14:00Wilf Tanner fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
14:54Truman Beaumont and Dot Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
15:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
17:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
19:00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
19:33The Anchor's piano is being played by Wilf Tanner, who cannot play piano.
19:42Wren Gorse is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
19:49Milo Ferris offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
19:50Alma Callahan is negotiating with a bar stool and appears to be losing.
19:57Edie Gorse has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
20:21Bev Tanner has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
20:57Rex Callahan has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago.
21:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
21:05Dot Ferris is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
21:54Gil Ferris has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Wilf Tanner and Gil Ferris came to (very gentle) blows over a heated debate over the last pickled egg.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Gil Ferris to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
