Day 4904
Day 4904 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried. Marla Finch receives a stern warning about a hedge. The hedge is fine. The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Quiet Week for the Sheriff reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
