Day 491

What a day in Seahaven Springs! Truman walked out of Sheriff Hal's office with nothing but a handshake and a mystery nobody quite asked about, clutching a fresh lighthouse postcard that June was delighted to stamp into his official collection—a small shrine that grows with each mail day. The town itself seemed to conspire toward beauty: a rainbow arced over the café at precisely the angle postcards are made of, while fog rolled in from the bay and stopped, politely, at the town limits, as if it knew there were boundaries even it should respect. Meanwhile, chairs appeared at The Anchor unbidden, umbrellas materialized and vanished, and a heron at Miller's Pond refused all hurrying—proof that in Seahaven Springs, even the small mysteries are the sweetest kind.
