Day 4949
Day 4949 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Rex Callahan has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Fern Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Every car, gull and passer-by around Truman Beaumont paused at once, as though waiting for a cue. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Sea Glass Season takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
