Day 5027
Day 5027 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Edie Gorse has come down with a bout of something going round the orchard and is being kept in for observation. The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain. The tide is out further than usual. Kip Doyle has gone to look at what it left behind. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Apple Harvest runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
