Day 5032
Day 5032 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Bev Tanner has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Iris Brody is not currently speaking to Linus Tidewater. Iris Brody is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Greengage Harvest takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Bev Tanner has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
00:00Wren Gorse has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
00:00The town clock has stopped at twenty past four. Nobody can agree on when it happened, which is itself a problem of some irony.
00:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
07:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
09:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
12:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
13:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
13:59Bram Tidewater organises a picking rota. Gil Ferris improves it immediately, uninvited.
14:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
14:11Milo Ferris and Bev Tanner have stopped leaving their friendship to chance.
15:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
15:00Dell Tanner fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
15:07Gil Ferris and Wren Gorse have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
15:07Wren Gorse and Gil Ferris have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
16:00The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it.
16:00Dell Tanner noticed the greetings had gone identical and improvised badly but successfully.
18:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
19:56Kip Doyle and Rex Callahan kept their word and finished what they started.
21:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
21:22Hal Brody is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:01Hattie Whitlow has decided the dartboard is at fault and said so publicly.
22:08Iris Brody is negotiating with a bar stool and appears to be losing.
22:08Cass Tanner has become extremely confident about lighthouse engineering.
22:19Cole Whitlow has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Linus Tidewater and Iris Brody came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Iris Brody to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
