Day 5050
Day 5050 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Cole Whitlow has stopped wondering about it, which is not quite the same as knowing. The tide is out further than usual. Milo Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind. Kip Doyle is in Seahaven General after they misjudged the last step of the Town Hall stairs. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Plum Harvest reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

07:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
07:30Cole Whitlow has stopped wondering about it, which is not quite the same as knowing.
08:00The tide is out further than usual. Milo Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
09:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
09:00Wilf Tanner nearly answered Truman Beaumont early, and turned it into a cough.
10:00For four seconds Truman Beaumont's radio carried a voice describing exactly where Truman Beaumont was standing.
10:00Word has gone round the kitchens: Truman Beaumont is to be given his favourite, and no bill.
11:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:12Every kitchen in town now smells of plum. Nobody is complaining, exactly.
13:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Sal Marino has been elected to deal with it.
14:00A seagull has stolen Opal Ferris's sandwich near the dock. Again.
14:00Wilf Tanner fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
15:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
16:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
16:30Truman Beaumont and Edie Gorse kept their word and finished what they started.
18:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
18:00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
20:00A door that has been locked for as long as Truman Beaumont can remember was standing open this morning.
21:00The bakery sign flickered and, for a moment, read a different name entirely.
22:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:01Edie Gorse has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
22:20The Anchor's piano is being played by Linus Tidewater, who cannot play piano.
22:34Perry Gorse is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
22:51Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Ned Ferris onto the water. Ned Ferris has not noticed.
