Day 5063
Day 5063 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. The orchard has produced more than anybody knows what to do with. There are apples on doorsteps, unasked for and unavoidable. The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions. Mabel Tidewater is expecting a baby with Dell Tanner. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Battle of the Noticeboard reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
