Day 5121
Day 5121 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Alma Callahan has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue. Nell Tidewater was born to Mabel Tidewater and Dell Tanner. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Talent Night at The Anchor takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Alma Callahan has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
07:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
07:31There were not enough plates at Wren Gorse's, and nobody minded.
08:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
08:30Jonah Ferris has got to the bottom of it. The bottom was not far down.
09:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
09:00Truman Beaumont's radio caught the control room again. Wilf Tanner turned the dial and talked loudly about the weather.
10:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
12:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
12:48Abel Callahan is rehearsing something in secret. Wren Gorse has heard it through a wall.
14:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
15:00Business is slow enough that Ewan Callahan has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
16:00Perry Gorse nearly answered Truman Beaumont early, and turned it into a cough.
16:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
16:30Alma Callahan and Mabel Tidewater kept their word and finished what they started.
17:00The bakery sign flickered and, for a moment, read a different name entirely.
18:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
19:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
19:00Rain fell in a single column, precisely on Truman Beaumont, and nowhere else in Seahaven Springs.
20:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
21:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
21:59Jonah Ferris has become extremely confident about lighthouse engineering.
22:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:07The Anchor's piano is being played by Bram Tidewater, who cannot play piano.
22:12Cass Tanner is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
22:21Lark Ferris is describing a fish that grows between each telling.
